Berisha's appeals during the campaign, Basha: His revolution ran out of ink, a realistic plan is needed

The former chairman of the DP, Lulzim Basha, has ironized Sali Berisha's calls for revolution during the May 14 campaign, saying that "the ink came out, but a realistic plan is needed". As in every other public appearance, Basha continues to call for the vetting of politicians and the recycling of those he refers to as the elite.

"If we had referendums, we wouldn't need to discuss the changes at all. A realistic plan is needed. More revolution, the ink came out", said Basha during a meeting with young people in Berat.

The former leader of the DP proposes to remove the article in the constitution "that the MP is not responsible for what he says". Basha repeated as a second proposal the "vetting of politicians" which, according to him, are being hindered by the SP and DP led by Berisha. Another proposal of Basha was to limit the mandates of the Prime Minister.

"They keep the phone open to answer your problems. Should ask for help with anything you need help with. Open lists are essential to get out of this rut. Even these will not give the right results if there is no vetting of politicians.

The MP must bear responsibility. We have an article in the constitution that says "the MP is not responsible for what he says". Even a deputy is responsible. It is left over from the time of communism, they did it to remove the fear from the deputies, 33 years ago. Now this is abused. The deputy must be held responsible, if he makes a report, if it is not true, he goes to the prosecutor's office.

They have joined on both sides of politics to stop the vetting of politicians. These people who undertake to lead the main institutions of the state, must show whether they can justify their wealth or not. Politicians do not make this transparent, but continue to accuse each other. The proposal has been in Parliament for 2 years.

The third proposition is about something else, how can we provide opportunity for each other when we're sitting there. Policy recycling is necessary. Prime minister without limit is unacceptable, it must end. Unlimited power favors corruption. With a proper referendum law, we don't have to always turn our eyes to Parliament, as we can pass a law ourselves. After May 14, I touch him wherever there is despair", said Basha.
