Veliaj: PD like "Big Brother", fight to get each other out of the house

The Political Leader of the SP for the District of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has ironized the quarrel within the opposition. Veliaj said that PD resembles a "Big Brother", where they fight to get each other out of the house.

"The slave who has eyes, the slave who has a mind, sees every day who is opening schools and who is throwing Molotov cocktails. Who is every day opening nurseries and gardens and who is burning tires, who is every day approaching people and telling them to come, that together we can do better, and who is all day excluding people. They are still in "Big Brother". "Big Brother" is over, but they are still evicting people from the house, who left today and who left tomorrow. We are happy for the 6,000 members who have entered the house and who have made our house bigger, more beautiful, stronger and more prepared," he said.

Veliaj underlined that without SP, Albania would not be the number one tourism destination in all of Europe today. "Their program is burning and spinning tires. Today, thanks to the SP and the leadership, next year Tirana is the Mediterranean Capital of Culture for 2025. It was the Capital of Youth last year, it was the Capital of Sport years ago. If someone thinks that: I wish these would have happened! Yes, Tirana was here, Peza was here, Ndroqi was here, Vaqarri was here, they were here! It wasn't the tourists because no one came to a place full of garbage, no one came to a place where political opponents were beaten, no one came to a place that had wasted so much time. So much time spent with the Pyramids. If we had continued with that game of fighting and had not separated in 2013 in the great Albania and in 2015 in Tirana to make Tirana the lady and Albania the flower, we would not be here", he said.

He added that SP managed to manage the situation created by the earthquake by creating two new neighborhoods in Vaqarr and Ndroq. Veliaj said that the newly built schools are no different from those in the city. "Imagine if they were on duty when the pandemic happened and when the earthquake struck. Imagine a party that burns its headquarters, could it have done the neighborhood in Ndroq, that a miracle has turned out?! Could he have done the neighborhood in Vaqarr that has turned out to be a miracle?! The last neighborhood we just opened in Peza. A party that burns its own house, surely cannot think about our roofs and cannot think about our villages, this is the big difference. When I think that in just one administrative unit we have made four schools. When I look at the new school in Vaqarr, it does not differ at all from the "Kosova" school", stated Veliaj.
