Elections in Kukës, KRIIK highlights the problems that citizens encountered in the voting process

KRIIK has started to fully monitor the process of the Elections in Kukës and has already come out with a preliminary report. Regarding the findings and recommendations in a skype connection, the representative of KRIIK Dritan Taulla said that the unauthorized persons with the list remain a big problem. He said that citizens are intimidated when they see other gatherings and that according to him, citizens were not given the opportunity to vote at the right time.

Our observers were in the field yesterday and not only that, we followed the whole process and saw part of the campaign. As for yesterday's process, some issues were raised in the voting centers, the most important of which I would highlight is the presence of people not registered with the list, they received the training that was given to them from inside the centers, and this capillary control of the vote leads to what we have said. the attempt to control the vote down to the last detail, or the pig to what they call patronage.

And that's a problem because people can be intimidated by other gatherings. Another problem is the fact that citizens were not given the opportunity to vote at the right time. The elections in Kukësi should have been held on August 10-15, while the Presidency neglected the law on the voting date.

Asked if the observers were able to provide evidence of the use of the administration by the majority, which is evidenced in the report, Taulla said that, "As we have said in the report, we have received credible claims not at the level to present in the prosecutor's office, they remain at the level of allegations".
