Escobar: I have not given deadlines for the requests, the Association will be formed with Albin Kurti, or with any future government

The special envoy of the United States for the Western Balkans, Gabriel Escobar, declared yesterday from Belgrade that he has not given deadlines to Kosovo, as reported the day before, regarding their 3 demands. He warned that the Association will be formed with the current government led by Albin Kurti or with any future government. Escobar stated that he does not know if there has been an answer from the Government of Kosovo regarding their requests, but he stated that the discussions will continue with the European Union even after these visits. Escobar stated that to turn your back on this proposal is to turn your back on Europe, the United States, the United Kingdom and all other friends, the same said that it can be qualified even if the dialogue between the two countries is rejected. Escobar stated that Serbia's challenge is to convince the Serbs to return to the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo. The United States Special Envoy for the Western Balkans stated that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has promised to use his influence to convince Serbs to participate in new elections. Focusing on the establishment of the Association of municipalities with a Serbian majority, Escobar said that this will happen, it only remains to be seen whether with the government of Albin Kurti or someone else. Escobar said that many things can be achieved this year if Kosovo and Serbia focus on implementing the agreement of February 27 and the annex agreed in Ohrid on March 18.
