Prime Minister Albin Kurti seems to have irritated the USA with his recent positions, while the situation has become tense in the north.
After the meeting with Kurti, the American ambassador, Jeffrey Hovenier, warned Kurti that " I don't think you will see much patience from the US side in relation to our expectations for the government to take action to de-escalate the situation in the north".
However, after the meeting with Kurti, Hovenier said that there was a good discussion and he expects progress, but again, despite the warnings, the American ambassador cannot say that he has managed to change Kurti's position regarding the municipalities in the north.
