The weather takes a drastic turn, strong storms in the region begin tonight

While very hot weather continues to prevail in our territories, some clouds and isolated rains passed through some parts of Albania and Kosovo, but they did not affect the temperature reduction that much.

On the other hand, quite unstable air started to penetrate parts of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Montenegro, causing more significant storms with locally intense rain and hail. Later, the storms will also include our northern neighbor Serbia.

On Friday, there will be a short-term stabilization of the weather in the entire Balkans, while on Saturday, quite strong destabilization in parts of the Balkans and on Sunday also in our territories. Saturday's front will cause even stronger storms from Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and then into Serbia. On Sunday, this front also reaches Kosovo, Albania and North Macedonia, strongly destabilizing the atmosphere and lowering temperatures. Due to the high temperatures and the arrival of the cold front, the atmosphere can react quite sensationally with quite sensational atmospheric processes such as massive lightning and thunder, very intense downpours and massive hail. It will be a front that will finally bring us much-needed freshness and showers of rain after a very long period of dryness.
