The American ambassador in Belgrade, Christopher Hill, said that the case of Kosovo and that of Russian aggression in Ukraine cannot be compared.
In an interview for the Serbian television "Nova", he was asked how Serbia could be asked to give up Kosovo, and then not ask Ukraine to give up its territories.
"We do not consider that the situation in Kosovo, which arose 23 years ago, is in any way similar to the armed aggression and land occupation of Russia, the targeted attacks on residential buildings where civilians live, we do not see an analogy between both situations", he explained, reports Zeri.info.
Hill also referred to Putin's position on Kosovo.
"I think he doesn't care about Kosovo at all, he's just trying to somehow legitimize what he did to his neighbors," says Hill.
Among other things, Hilli spoke about Serbia's dependence on Russia.
He said that Serbia depends a lot on Russian energy sources and that it is very necessary for this country to diversify its energy sources.
