Although they have stated several times that there will be no meeting between them, Vjosa Osmani and Aleksandër Vucic have held a short meeting in Moldova.

Vjosa Osmani said that the president of France, Emanuel Macron, the German chancellor Olaf Scholz and the head of the EU's foreign policy, Josep Borrell, were also present during the meeting.

The president emphasized that once again it was proven that Vucic is not interested in solutions or peace.

President Vjosa Osmani has declared for the short meeting with the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vu?i? in Moldova, where the President of France, Emanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and the head of the EU's Foreign Policy, Josep Borrell, were also present.

In advance, Osmani and Vucic held separate meetings with Macron, Scholz and Borrell.

"At the end of the meeting with Macron and Scholz, they proposed to have an informal discussion with the president of Serbia, of course the High Representative of the EU, Josep Borrell, was also present at the meeting. We had a joint meeting for about 10 minutes, where it was proven once again that Vucic is not interested in solutions or peace, but in fact is the main source of instability in our entire region. But, I will continue to work with our partners, with Germany, with France, with the USA as our key ally, but also with other countries on some of the issues proposed by President Macron and Chancellor Scholz, and that the US Secretary of State, Blinken, has also proposed. There may be elections ahead. We have a common will, and that is for a sovereign and independent Kosovo to be successful throughout its territory.

Osmani ka thënë se fillimisht takimi trelateral Macron-Scholz-Osmani ka qenë propozim i palës franko-gjermane, derisa në fund të këtij takimi ka qenë një insistim i tyre që të ketë edhe një diskutim formal me presidentin e Serbisë.

“…e kam bërë të qartë se unë nuk negocioj sepse negociatat bëhen në Bruksel dhe Gjykata Kushtetuese e ka përcaktuar qartë se kush i zhvillon ato negociata. Megjithatë si presidente e vendit natyrisht i respektoj propozimet e aleatëve tanë, të cilët kanë dhënë dhe vazhdojnë të japin shumë për stabilitetin në Kosovë dhe rajon. Jemi ulur kemi diskutuar. Unë para tyre kam kërkuar nga Vuçiçi që të largojë ushtrinë nga kufiri, që t’i largojë bandat kriminale nga Kosova. Që të zbatojë listën e gjatë të marrëveshjeve të cilat nuk i ka zbatuar. E kam pyetur se a ka marrëveshje apo jo sipas tij sepse ai paraqitet para palëve të tjera kinse i respekton marrëveshjet por publikisht del dhe thotë se nuk do t’i zbatojë. Pra, janë gjëra që i kemi bërë në mënyrë shumë korrekte dhe konstruktive, siç janë kërkesat për sqarime, duke treguar se ne jemi të gatshëm ta gjejmë rrugën përpara bashkë me aleatët. Ne bisedojmë me ta për rrugën përpara, kurse obligimet që Kosova i ka marrë në marrëveshje, edhe njëherë sot kam treguar se të gjitha institucionet tona janë të përkushtuara t’i zbatojnë dhe nuk do të ikim prej tyre. Në anën tjetër Vuçiç si zakonisht ankohet, bërtet e shumëçka tjetër, por kjo është natyra e tij”, ka shtuar presidentja.

She added that within the laws and the Constitution of Kosovo there is the possibility of new elections, but it is important that the Serbs in the north participate in them, take advantage of the participation.

"So they should participate and elect the presidents they want and make sure their rights are respected through the representatives they elect", said Osmani, not ruling out this action as a solution to de-tension the situation.

"Our laws allow new elections if there is a certain percentage of citizens who are on the voting list and initiate such a procedure. So if there are such procedures, our institutions are forced to act", Osmani underlined.
