Elections in North Macedonia and Serbia, security expert reveals what happens if Vucic loses Belgrade

The Democratic Union for Integration in North Macedonia decided to nominate Talat Xhaferi for prime minister, ahead of the expected spring elections.

Xhaferi is currently the Speaker of the Parliament of North Macedonia. He is expected to assume the office of Prime Minister on January 28, 2024.

This decision comes as a result of the agreement known as the "Perzhina Agreement" for the establishment of a technical government 100 days before the parliamentary elections.

Security expert Ilir Kulla commented on the political situation and the elections expected to be held on May 8 in North Macedonia in a television studio.

During the conversation in the studio, Kulla said that Talat Xhaferri is the name decided to be the next Albanian prime minister in North Macedonia.

"The next prime minister who will be Albanian is Talat Xhaferi and the attack from Russia was not accidental", said Kulla.

He then focused on the political situation in Serbia, saying that if in the next elections, if Vu?i? loses in Belgrade, he will also face his political end.

"The point is that if Vucic loses Belgrade, this is also the beginning of the end for Vucic." This is how it works in Serbia. Vucic has the most extreme opposition of all oppositions. They are more anti-West and more anti-Kosovo. This is what he is telling the Westerners, but all the political initiatives he pushed forward, Open Balkan, or the attack in Banjska failed. Now the best alternative is a coalition with Dacic. So it is an opportunity for Russia to strengthen even more in Serbia. The strengthening of Russia means the strengthening of Russia also in Bosnia, i.e. Republika Srpska. In Serbia, this time the game will be played by the Serbian Church, which is well known for its ties with Russia. Unfortunately the news from the war in Ukraine is not good. I think he will form a coalition with Dacic to avoid losing the elections", added Kulla.
