British footballer Cody Fisher, 23, was killed in a stabbing attack on the dance floor of the Crane nightclub in Birmingham just before 11.45pm on December 26.

The British police have asked for the help of the citizens to gather clues that could lead to solving the murder of the football player in the night club.

Despite the efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead about half an hour after the serious incident. The police have launched a murder investigation while continuing the work to identify and arrest the perpetrator.

One of his friends, Jess Chatwin, paid tribute to the footballer on Twitter, where she wrote: "You didn't deserve any of this. I'm so sorry this happened to you, please come home. I love you forever Cody Fisher.”

She also added in her Instagram bio: "I love you forever my code."

West Midlands Police tweeted: “Detectives have been working throughout the night and the investigation continues.

"We're really pleased with the response so far, but we're still appealing for people with information to come forward and help solve the incident."
