HIV continues to remain a major public health problem globally

World HIV/AIDS Day is organized every year on December 1 to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, and to demonstrate international solidarity in the face of this pandemic. This day is an opportunity to disseminate information regarding the situation of this pandemic and to encourage progress in HIV/AIDS prevention, treatment and care throughout the world, especially in countries with high prevalence.
